The outer body of the Road Distributor to Progreso started operating from Friday August 31 at 8 am, according to the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT) in Yucatan, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Safety (SSP),
The road will be open to vehicular traffic to operate temporarily as a return for users who circulate on the central lanes of the Periferico on the east to west direction and wish to return through this path of descent of the structure to join back to the Periférico in the west-east direction, using the ascending ramp located in the inner body of the vehicular overpass.
With the support of the elements of the SSP, the signaling will be reinforced to indicate in advance the approach that users should follow along the indicated route.
The access to the city of Mérida will continue to be closed due to the modernization works that are underway on Calle 60 north.
With this opening, most of the interchange will be operating for vehicles after months of construction work and impeded traffic.
