Dozens of people received the “Logos Hope”, the largest floating library in the world, on Wednesday morning. Upon arrival, the ship was received to the rhythm of Mexican songs such as the “Cielito Lindo”, while the ship’s crew was also greeted with batucada music.
The ceremony was attended by authorities of the Port Authority and local and international organizers.
The inaugural ceremony of the ship will be at 10 am on Thursday, July 19, reported Viti Garcia, national organizer of the ship, which since its launch has visited more than 100 ports around the world.
The Logos Hope transports a crew of 400 people of more than 60 nationalities on board.
It is the fourth boat operated by the GBA Ships organization “Good books for All”. Its purpose is to share knowledge, help and hope to the people of the world.
