High temperatures could reach 102º F this week in Merida

For the next few days forecasters predict very hot temperatures in most of the Yucatan Peninsula, especially in the south and northwest portions of the entity, reported the National Water Commission in Yucatan.

The presence of rains is not ruled out for this Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. For Mérida, highs between 35 and 39 degrees Celsius (95 to 102 degrees Fahrenheit) are expected during the coming days.
Although the rainfall potential is low, showers may be scattered in the center, south and northeast of the state. The winds would be from the east southeast at 15 to 25 km / h with gusts of up to 45 km / h in the coastal zone.

By Wednesday July 25, temperatures are again forecast to peak from 36 to 40 degrees Celsius in most of the state.
