Of the three projects proposed before the President of the Republic Andrés Manuel López Obrador by Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal, there is the so-called “Merida Central Park” of La Plancha. According to unofficial sources, there are legal details with the land, which delays the project.
As reported in previous notes, the state administration of former Gov. Rolando Zapata Bello left no trace of the aforementioned project, but did return the resources granted by the federal government, 13 million 900 thousand pesos, to complete the work to be carried out. This action generated dissatisfaction among the park’s promoters.
After several months of waiting, it transpired that the Metropolitan Coordination of Yucatan (Comey) and the Technical Secretariat of Planning and Evaluation (Seplan) will be responsible for coordinating this project, which is of interest to the Municipality of Mérida.
Although the federal government already has the model, there are some legal details to formalize the legality of the land where the train-locomotive maneuvering park was located. The State Government is waiting to begin with the request for this space.
