More than 500,000 flowers will adorn La Mejorada Park

This tourist attraction, which is distinguished by its colors, will take place in the next few days on the street 50-A of the Historical Center, for which officials have already begun preparations.

Workers of the City of Mérida are preparing what will be the viewpoint of the place. Aluminum structures will sustain thousands of people who will come to enjoy the exhibition.

Although the layouts of the space have not yet been made, it is expected that the installation of the floral mosaics will be carried out over the next few days.

The “Camino de las Flores” has been formed with more than 500,000 colorful flowers and plants of different species, among them the cempasúchil, the carnation, the honeycomb, the chrysanthemums, the petunias, the mother in law’s tongue.

All will integrate into different forms from the traditional floors or mosaics, the designs of the embroidery with cross stitch, animals, birds and reptiles that group part of the fauna of the region.

It is expected that, during the time the display lasts, visitors will enjoy alternate activities such as photography, shows, exhibitions, as well as buying products from Merida artisans in the esplanade of the park.
