Yucatan competing for three honors in 2018 Food and Travel Awards

In the fifth edition of the Food and Travel Awards 2018, Yucatan is again on the list of nominees in three of the main categories.

Noted international chef Pedro Evia Puerto heads the “Best Chef” shortlist competing with other well-known promoters of Mexican cuisine.

This was announced in a press conference headed by Chef Evia himself, in which he was accompanied by the president of the Tourism Business Coordinating Council, Jaime Solis Garza and businessman Eduardo Rukos.

Nominated in the category of “Best restaurant in the interior” is Kuuk restaurant, also of businessman Pedro Evia Puerto, while in the category of “Best Hotel Restaurant”, was nominated the restaurant “Piñuela” at Hotel Merida.

Also in the category of “Best destination” is the capital of Yucatan: Mérida, so that in order to help the Yucatecan business community to be recognized with this award, citizens are invited to vote in the following link: http://www.foodandtravel.mx/awards/.

Tourists’ own experiences were used in selecting the nominees.

The Yucatecan community is encouraged to vote, so that the state once again can stand out among the most select in the world of tourism service providers.

The deadline for voting is October 20.
